If you did not have the time or the opportunity for a longer internship during your study programme, you now have another possibility to establish a contact to a company or organisation. In the fall 2009 and spring 2010 the Career Kick-Starter offers you the possibility of a so-called miniature internship.

What is a miniature internship?

A miniature internship is an internship lasting 1-4 weeks. The internship does not grant you with any ECTS-credits and you yourself must find the time for it between lectures. The miniature internship is primarily for students who have not taken any kind of internships yet and who do not have the time for a longer ECTS-granting internship anymore, but who would still like to have some knowledge of a specific company or job function before graduating.

What do I get out of a miniature internship?

Even though you do not get any ECTS- credits from a miniature internship, you can still learn a lot from a shorter internship. We recommend that the host of the internship offers you some specific tasks to manage during your internship. Furthermore, you will establish a contact to a business which you might be able to use later in your job seeking process, and you will gain insight into the everyday life of a specific work place.
